Effective Teaching of Electric Circuit Analysis through Jigsaw Cooperative Learning Method

Abstract : In recent times, in addition to the conventional teaching methods, new pedagogical initiatives are indispensable elongate attention span of present students from generation Z and alpha. Jigsaw is one Collaborative practices which involves facilitators working tandem with students, instructing mentoring them solve problems. This paper presents implementation an enhanced learning method for Circuit Analysis course first-year students. Instead randomly assigning groups, proposed enhancement diverse teams based on student personalities (Triguna levels – Sattva, Rajas, Tamas). Such groups become effective units ensure team coherence. Minute feedback was obtained at end session analyze effectiveness jigsaw method. The analysis indicates a paradigm shift students' level understanding, assessment scores Tamas had significant improvement 20%. Also, post-session data shows boost confidence solving different DirectCurrent (DC) Alternating Current (AC) electric circuits. A comparison between teaching-learning process also presented. results indicate that this proves be both faculty's perspective. improving desired outcome, makes enjoyable.
